The  Indian Journal for Medical Research & Development aims to serve as a high-quality, peer-reviewed platform for the dissemination of research and evidence-based practices that address the prevention, surveillance, and control of infectious diseases research across all domains of medical and health sciences, encompassing clinical specialties such as internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, dermatology, and allied disciplines; public health and preventive medicine including epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy, and global health; basic medical sciences such as anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, and pharmacology; as well as allied health fields like nursing, physiotherapy, laboratory sciences, and nutrition. The journal is committed to advancing knowledge that improves population health outcomes, strengthens healthcare systems, and promotes effective infection prevention strategies across diverse settings, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.
